The Marie de Blanchefort Gravestone Inscription

At Rennes-le-Chateau, the inscription on the gravestone of Marie de Blanchefort mysteriously contains conspicuous errors.

 

The text on Marie de Negre d’Ables (de Blanchefort) gravestone contains 12 lines, consisting of a total of 26 words mainly in French. The last four words involve Latin.

The conspicuous errors:

1 – Words which have been separated are MARIE into M & ARIE, SOIXANTE into SOIX & ANTE, and REQUIESCAT IN reformed to REQUIES CATIN.

2 – Letter ‘O’ is not a Latin numeral in MDCOLXXXI.

3 – Misspellings are CT instead of CI (here), NEGRE instead of NEGRI, DARLES instead of DABLES, DHAUPOUL instead of DHAUTPOUL, AGEE instead of AGE and DECEDEE instead of DECEDE.

 

I believe it was deliberate to contain esoteric information, which can be revealed by deciphering the numerical values obtained from letter counts, word structure, and numerology or gematria. The numerical value of a word is found by substituting numbers for letters using the following:

A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4…....Z=26.

 

I have arranged the information in the table below to show numbering of the 12 lines with their numerical values alongside, the rank of each word in the inscription, followed by its numerical value, text and translation.

 

 

There are absolutely numerous coincidences, which lead me to believe the inscription on Marie’s tombstone can be ‘decoded’ by the interpretation of number.

Here are a few:

 

The first line has a numerical sum of 120, which is ten times the value of CI (corrected CT). Twelve is also the number of lines of text.

 

Incorrect CT has a value of 23, which is noticeably the number of the only Latin numeral MDCLXXXI (meaning 1681), wrongly engraved including the letter ‘O’.

1681 = 41 x 41.

 

The structures of NOBLe depict 41, NEGRE also 41. Two 41s like the factors of 1681.

 

Letter ‘O’ is 15th in the alphabet. Its circumference, as a circle with a diameter of 15, evaluates to 47.13.

The result of 47 plus13 is 60, the value of the 17th word.

 

The 17th word SEpT, meaning 7, contained in the 7th line, has a value of 60.

‘Sevens’ like the factors of 119, the total number of letters.

119 = 17 x 7.

 

This 7th line has a numerical sum of 134 (‘17’), which is an anagram of 143 the sum of line 9. Combination of the line numbers constitute 79.

The 9th line also contains JANVIER, a 7-lettered word, value 79.

 

The 7th word, NEGRE has a value of 49.

49 = 7 x 7.

We return to 41, the portrayal of NEGRE.

 

On returning to twelve the start number, the 12th word is composed of 11 letters, the sole 11-lettered one, which has some correlation with the 11th word DE, value 9, and depicting 11.

Word 11 and its value 9 comprise 119, the total number of letters of the text.

 

The list seems never-ending. Although these are a revelation, they detract from the ‘treasure’.

 

So let’s examine the number of letters in the text and their numerical sum:

 

The 12 lines contain 26 words consisting of 119 letters with a numerical value of 1217 (using A=1, B=2, C=3………Z=26).

 

The almost corrected text (retaining just the ‘O’ in the Roman numeral’), will contain 118 letters with a numerical value of 1204.

 

When the ‘O’ is excluded from the 23rd word, basically a Roman numeral, then its 117 letters of fully corrected text score 1189.

 

Line 4, containing words 10 & 11, has a numerical sum of 107.

If we add 10 and 11 separately to 107, the result is 117 and 118.

Numbers 117 and 118 correspond with the corrected text, described above.

 

The structure of the two words here, DE and DHAUPOUL, denote numbers 11 & 8, which constitute 118.

DE and the correct DHAUTPOUL depict 119.

Corrected words DHAUTPOUL and REQUIESCAT each have a numerical value of 118.

 

Next the total number of letters in the inscription, 119 is obviously noticeable in the 4th line , where DE, word 11 and its value 9, depict 119.

 

So, the trail to find any esoteric information seems to start with word 11, DE, the structure of which depicts number 11, and the total number of letters, 119, of engraved text.

11 9 11 can be read across line rank 11.

The prevalence of number 11 begs our attention.

What is the significance of number 11?

 

The 12 lines contain 26 words consisting of 119 letters with a numerical value of 1217 (using A=1, B=2…Z=26).

 

The partially corrected text (‘O’ retained in the Roman numeral’), will contain 118 letters with a numerical value of 1204.

 

When the ‘O’ is excluded from the 23rd word, basically a Roman numeral, then its 117 letters score 1189.

The numbers of letters 119, 118, 117 and their numerical sums 1217, 1204, 1189 could be taken to symbolize IMPERFECTION or BLEMISH, IMPROVEMENT, COMPLETENESS/PURE.

 

The letters’ totals involve ELEVEN combined with either 7 or 8 or 9.

Words’ totals involve TWELVE with either 17 or 4, and ELEVEN with 89.

 

TWELVE is present at the BEGINNING ( 1st line total 120, correct CI value 12) and END (12th line) of the IMPURE text.

ELEVEN seems ever present.

 

In the table, 117, 118, 119 (number of letters) and 1217, 1204, 1189 (numerical sum of the letters) are split into numbers.

For example the first line shows 117 (fadic value 9) split into 11th (value 49) and 7th (value 49) words, a sum of 58 (fadic value 4).

The next set of numbered words, their sums and fadic values are obtained 1189, the numerical sum of the 117 letters.

 

Note: The fadic value of a number is its lowest reduced form, obtained by addition of its constituent digits.

(For example 1+1+9 = 11, then 1+1 = 2; thus 2 is the fadic value of 119)

 

 

PURE, then, is associated with number 58.

Most TAINTED is denoted by 119 letters, the comprised words of which have a sum of 32, a number distant from 58.

Slightly BLEMISHED is depicted by 118, word sum 68, close to and resembling 58.

 

The fadic values of 117 & 1189 constitute 91, which corresponds with sum total for words 11, 8, 9.

 

For 118 & 1204 it is 17, very similar to 117, the sum for words 12, 04.

 

There is no such correspondence shown by data for 119, 1217.

At this stage numbers ELEVEN & FIFTY-EIGHT are found to be important.

 

Let’s now trundle along to the 5th and 8th words and lines of text.

The structures of the words in the 5th line (BLANCHFORT, 11 letters) and 8th line (DECEDEE, LE 7, 2) lines of text allow the construction of the number 1172.

1172 is an anagram of 1217, the numerical total of the inscribed text.

How are 58 and 1172 connected?

 

Returning to the gravestone, the fully corrected text will contain 117 letters with a numerical value of 1189.

8 x 9 = 72.

Replacing 89 with 72 reveals 1172.

 1172 is concealed here as well.

 

I digress a moment to the 12th and 04th words, (BLANCHEFORT, 104 plus M, 13), numerical total of 117, because they contain the already known correlation between 1204 and 117, that is:

12 and 04 constitute 1204, the numerical sum of the partly corrected text.

117 is the number of letters of fully corrected text, when the ‘O’ from word 23 is excluded.

Here 117 is an attention-grabbing number, which many will notice has a resemblance to 1 / 2 pi. 22/7 or pi (p), used in mathematics, which I used earlier to find the circumference of ‘O’.

 

The sum value of the 1st, 2nd and 4th words (using 1204) is 72 (23+36+13).

For words 1, 1, 8, 9 the sum is 128, the value of the 23rd solitary Latin word .

The numerical sum of words 1, 1 & 7 is 95…..its reflection 59 is the value of word 8.

For words 11 & 7 the sum is 58.

Now (128 minus 95) and (91 minus 58) make 33, the value of word 5.

Number 58 prevails here as well.

 

If the exact mirror image of 1681, the Latin numeral MDCLXXXI in word 23, is inverted it becomes 1891, whilst inversion alone of 1681 best resembles 1981.

 

Let’s examine some differences involving 1189, the score for the accurate text:

1891 minus 1189 = 702

117 is a factor of 702 (702 = 117 x 6).

 

1681 minus 1189 equals 492.

The sum of words numbers 4, 9, 2 is 72, the number also contained in the pair of numbers 1172, 1189 and is the sum value of words 1, 2, 0, 4.

1189 minus 117 (number of letters in the fully corrected text) is 1072 1072 is comprised of 10 & 72. 1981 minus 1189 = 792.

The first three digits of the Earth’s diameter 792 miles manifests here.

Multiply by 10 yields 7920 miles.

 

Above outcomes indicate that 72(0) is a special FACTOR, because the predominant number here, 11, embraces planet Earth, and 72 converts it to a more familiar dimension:

720 x 11 = 7920 (Earth’s diameter in miles).

 

If 58, the number associated with PURE, is multiplied by 72, the result is 4176.

4176 miles is the diameter of planet MARS.

 

At this stage it is important to know about the Templars’ divine ‘HEAD’ described by several authors: " a great head of gilded silver, most beautiful, in the image of a woman. Inside were two head bones, wrapped in white linen with another red cloth around it. "
On an attached label is written "CAPUT LVIIIm" - "HEAD 58".

 

"Baigent, Leigh & Lincoln, in their well-known book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail"... the authors found indisputable evidence of secret ceremonies involving a head. …. its existence was one of the dominant themes running through the Inquisition records....Among the confiscated goods of the Paris shrine included a great head of gilded silver, most beautiful, in the image of a woman. Inside were two small head bones, wrapped in a cloth of white linen, with another red cloth around it.

 

The ‘name’ of the head CAPUT LVIIIm consists of 11 letters containing the Roman numeral LVIII, for 58.

Number 11 is also present here with number 58.

Now these very same values, 11 and 58, are present in the gematria of the text on MARIE’s gravestone.

 

 

Alan Watts has shown that the positions of some of our most celebrated ancient sites (Stonehenge, Silbury Hill...) and those at Cydonia on Mars, were laid down in a very ancient past to accord with a pre-defined plan.

It is now possible to interpret the symbolism of the package inside the Templar Head – “the two head bones wrapped firstly in white linen and then enveloped with a red cloth”.

the two bones, '1 and 1', although 2, depicts 11, the Earth number.

Mars is known as the Red Planet.

What is the connection between Earth & Mars?

EARTH is obviously the PLANE of MATERIAL.

MARS has a SPIRITUAL CONNOTATION.

 

In this context the numbers of letters 119, 118, 117 and their numerical sums 1217, 1204, 1189 symbolize IMPERFECTION or BLEMISH, PURIFICATION and COMPLETENESS/PURE.

The fadic value of a number is its reduced form usually to a single digit, obtained by addition of its constituent digits.

The numbers of text letters, 119 & their numerical sum, 1217, each reduce to 11 (1+2+1+7=11).

For the partially corrected text, 118 & 1204 reduce to 10 & 7.

Fully corrected text, 117 and 1189 reduce to 9 & 19.

 

119, 1217

and their fadic values 11.

 

Addition, 11 plus 11 make 22.

Words 2 & 2 have a numerical sum of 72 (36 + 36).

The letters of words 2 & 2 depict 33.

Number 33 can only be composed from the structure of the 3-lettered words GIT (meaning LIES), word 2 and ANS (YEARS), word 18.

The numerical value of GIT & ANS is 70;

The numerical sum of words 2 through to 18, comprising of 72 letters, is 709.

'An imperfect life seems associated with ‘LIES (for) YEARS’, the factor 72 which converts meaningless numbers into the dimensions of physical objects of Creation, 70 and 709. '

 

A prime number is only divisible by itself or 1.

The 107th prime number is 709.

The 4th line of text has a sum of 107.

The structure and number of the words in this line, DHAUPOUL & DE, depict 811, an anagram and reflected number of 118.

The numerical value of DHAUTPOUL (corrected word) is also 118.

This result leads to 118, the number of letters in the partly corrected text.

The 118 letters of corrected text indicate an initial purification……. REINCARNATION?

 

Lines 8, 9 have a numerical sum of 191, an anagram of 119 (letters of incorrect text).

 

The 10th line, containing an incorrect 9 letter word (8 when corrected).

Similarly the 10th word, value 98, is 8-lettered (when corrected).

Here are a concoction of  8, 9 involving word 10 and word in line 10.

8 x 9 = 72.

 

72 is the Factor, which converts ‘meaningless’ numbers into the dimensions of physical objects of Creation.

8 + 9 = 17, reflection of which is 71.

We saw that ‘70’ above was also associated with Creation.

70 and 71 are very similar; they depict LIGHT necessary for EYES to see the CREATION.

SEVEN colours of the spectrum (1), ‘WHITE LIGHT’, which appears to be ‘NOTHING’ – 71 & 70

 

118, 1204

and their fadic values 10 & 7

 

Numbers 10 & 7 constitute 107, which is the 28th prime number.

Number 28 crops up in the 117/1189 section later.

Recall that 107 is numerical sum of the 4th line of text considered above.

Addition of 10 plus 7 make 17.

Numerical values of words 1 & 7 have a sum of 72.

72 - the special factor.

 

The letters of words 1 & 7, CT & NEGRE depict 241, the digits of which are evident in structures of the consecutive words M, ARIE, DE, NEGRE depicting 1, 4, 2, 41.

Two instances of 241 occur; 142 its reflection of 241 by the 4th, 5th and 6th words M, ARIE, DE which have a total numerical value 55.

And 241 by 6th and 7th words, of sum 58.

 

The 5th word is ARIE, part of MARIE, value 33, which manifested earlier on.

118 denotes process of purification, almost completed (except for the removal of ‘O’).

Whilst incorrect CT and NEGRE imply blemish.

A flawed life is associated with CT NEGRE meaning HERE (at) NEGRE; and factor 72 (again).

 

241, words DE-ARIE-M and its reflection 142, M-ARIE-DE imply a mirrored version of a physical Marie, confirmed to some extent in 55, which has an indistinguishable reflection involving ARIE. The exact reflection of M-ARIE-DE is ED-IERA-M.

The letters highlighted are those which reflect almost exactly.

The others E, D, R imagined backwards do not look the same.

The ‘I AM’ of MARIE has manifested.

Although deceased, ‘I AM’ suggests she exists.

 

Another deceased situation is demonstrated here by the 6th & 7th words.

The sum of their numerical values is 58 (planet MARS).

 

The 15th word has a value of 67.

The 15th letter of the alphabet is ‘O’, which is oddly contained in the Latin numeral MDCLXXXI, word 23.

 

Number 67 investigated at the end (optional).

 

117 & 1189

and their fadic values 9 and 19.

 

1189 splits into 118 9

Meaning perhaps a satisfactory end (9) after stage(s) ‘118’.

 

Addition, 9 plus 19 make 28.

Numerical value of words 2 & 8 have a sum of 95.

95 = 58 (MARS) plus 37.

The structure of words 3 & 7 each depict the significant number 41.

41 x 41 = 1681, MDCLXXXI.

41 + 41 = 82 (mirrors 28)

 

The structure of words 2 & 8 portray 36.

Number 36 can also be composed from the structure of words 18 & 8.

The numerical sum of words 8 through to 18, a total of 52 letters, is 521.

521 is the 98th prime.

98 is the reflection of 89, explained earlier, is present in 1189.

11 is no longer shackled to 89…the HUMAN SOUL is FREE from EARTH

 

The special factor 72, the result 8 x 9, relates to MATERIAL WORLD.

Perhaps 17, the result of 8+9, relates to the OTHER WORLD/LIGHT

 

The 8th& 9th words contained in the 3rd line of text have a sum of 82, the reflection of 28, matching the sum of fadic values 9, 19).

 

The many correlations infer stages to a perfect end, which involve ‘MARS’ linked to number 37. The reflected number of 1072, the result of 1189 minus 117, is 2701.

2701 = 37 x 73.

Number 37 is linked with Mars.

 

37 and 73 also depict numbers in the LIGHT SPECTRUM.

7 colours of the SPECTRUM (R, O, Y, B, G, I V) consisting of THREE PRIMARY rays (R, B, G).

 

Is 73 linked with Earth?

 

It was found that 58 (Mars) plus 37 make the significant number 95.

Likewise if 73, reflection of 37, is linked to Earth, then the importance of 84, addition of Earth’s number 11 to 73, needs investigating.

Here follows a use of the digits comprising 84 (EARTH) as well as 95 (MARS) to examine the value of both words and lines of 8, 4 and 9, 5.

 

MARS:

The numerical sum of the 9th and 5th and is 56; their structures depict 44;

 The 9th and 5th lines have a numerical sum of 247; structures show 47 11.

56 minus 44 = 12, the last line of text.

2 47 is similar to 47 11 because when 2 is expanded to 11, then 2 47 can be written as 11 47.

The digits of 11 47 and 47 11 can be reformed to (2 x 117) and 44 (depicted by the structure of words 9 & 5)

The reduced form of 1147 is 13, ‘nothing’ after the last 12th line of text.

117 denotes completeness like 12 the last line of text.

PURE & UNBLEMISHED ‘I AM’.

 

EARTH:

The 8th and 4th words have a numerical sum of 72; depict 61;

 The 8th and 4th lines have a sum of 155; their structures depict either 72 811 or 72 911

72 minus 61 = 11

Unlike 2 47 & 47 11 for Mars, there is no similarity between 155 and 72 8/9 11.

 

11 is the EARTH number.

118 and 119 denote two different stages of PURIFICATION.

72 is the special factor which converts numbers to dimensions (‘physicalness’).

155 could represent discord with 72 8/911.

Indicating BLEMISH and that REINCARNATION is required for PURIFICATION/COMPLETENESS.

 

The reduced form of 155 is 11, EARTH, indicative of a RETURN (of the soul) to the world of atoms, the physical.

 

In conclusion, the SOUL achieves PURIFICATION/PERFECTION by REINCARNATION.

Involving planet Mars as well as Earth.

 

Number 67. (Optional reading).

Strangely, or not, lines 6 & 7, containing words 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, occupy the middle of the table.

This group contains word 15, which has a numerical value 67.

The 15th word also separates the group into 2 and 3 words, composes 23, the value of the 1st and  9th words (composes 19).

 

The first word should be CI, value 12, which is one tenth the numerical sum, 120, of the first line of text.

19 is the reduced value of 1189 (sum of fully corrected text).

12 & 1189 have been explained to denote ‘UNBLEMISHED’.

 

This group of words, excluding  15th word, have a sum of 161 (94+134-67).

 The 13th and 14th words have a sum 27.

They depict 42 (reduces to 6).

Coincidence or not 13 + 14 = 27 is also the numerical value of the 13th and 14th words.

There is no 27th word to follow 26, the last in the text.

27 is the reflection of 72, a factor in the PHYSICAL world. (Recall 73)

Perhaps 27 pertains is relevant to the SPIRITUAL one. (Recall 37)

 

The 16th, 17th and 18th words have a sum of 134.

They depict 443 (reduces to 11).

6 (reduced 42 above) & 11, compose 611, which is an anagram of 161 (the group sum excluding the 15th word).

161 = 23 x 7.

The significant 23 is seen linked to 7.

 

The 7th word, depicting 41, has a value of 49, or 7 x 7 (emphasis on 7).

The 23th word comprises the Latin numeral MDCLXXXI, 1681, and ‘O’.

1681 = 41 x 41.

The structures of NEGRE and NOBLe each depict 41.

Two 41s can represent either ‘241’, which expand to ‘1141’ or 41 x 41 the value of MDCLXXXI.

 

The wrongly placed letter ‘O’, in MDCOLXXXI, is the 15th in the alphabet.

67 is the value of the 15th word and 'O' is the 15th letter of the alphabet.

Recall 15 was used earlier as the diameter of a circle.

 

Finally 6 plus 7, the word numbers, make 13. Word 13 is M.

M is the 4th word in the 1st line of text.

This pair of numbers comprises the significant number 41.

 

Chasing our tail back to 41!

Yet another track of detraction, like so many others that occur here.

POSTSCRIPT  (27 February 2010)

About a couple of weeks after completing this study, I had a weird dream, in which some indistinct male referred to an indistinguishable female as:

PERDU, PERDU MARIE.

Remembering the dream, I ignored it for several days thinking it nonsense until I suddenly recalled that PERDU is a French word from my schooldays…. a past participle meaning ‘lost?’.

My French dictionary informed me it meant ‘forsaken’ (synonymous with left, renounced, left, abandoned).

What astonished me most were the results of its numerology, using A=1, B=2,….Z=26, because there was an absolute correlation with my numerological study of the strange inscription on the tomb of Marie de Blanchefort at Rennes-le-Chateau, France.

PERDU = 64 (16+5+18+4+21)

MARIE = 46.

Letters ER (value 23) are common to both

 

PERDU plus MARIE equal 110.

PERDU plus PERDU equal 128.

PERDU plus PERDU plus MARIE equal 174.

 

PERDU, 64 is the reflection of MARIE, 46.

MAI, ER numerically 23, 23. (23; two 23s were also significant in the inscription).

11(0) is Earth’s number... 'Marie abandoned on Earth?'

 

174 is a Light structure number (1 light spectrum, 7 spectral & 4 subsidiary rays)... ’Marie lost to the LIGHT?’

 

128 is the value of MDCOLXXXI, the 23rd word in the inscription.

MDCLXXXI is Latin numeral for 1681.

AND Perdu (41) x Perdu (41) = 1681

 

Two 41s are depicted in the inscription as NEGRE and NOBLe.

 

HOW WEIRD IS THIS!

That reflected numbers, and numbers 23, 41 manifesting from my dream correspond with the most significant ones in the inscription.
